The most common ADR course running at our training centre which you could book on as an individual covers Core, Practical, Packages and classes 2,3,4,5,6,8 & 9 with an optional additional day and a half to cover tanks.
For more specialist courses covering a specialist area for example a fuel distribution company may choose a course which only covers Core, Practicals, Tanks and Class3. A course like this would require a group booking and could be delivered either at our training centre or the clients premises (subject to the premises meeting the SQA requirements).
Firstly if you have a current ADR licence which has more than 6 weeks remaining before the expiry date then you could chose to book on a shorter refresher course instead of the initial course. However you should bear in mind that the training is condensed into less days so it can not be covered in as much detail. Therefore if you are a little rusty or unsure we would always advise taking the initial course again to give you the best chance to pass the examinations.
As an accredited JAUPT training provider we are also able to register certain dangerous goods courses with the DSA to count towards your Driver CPC hours. These courses must meet the strict guidelines of both the SQA and JAUPT to qualify for both awarding bodies. Therefore you should always check first to see how many hours can be awarded on the course you have chosen.
As a Department for Transport approved Dangerous Goods training provider we provide ADR Initial, ADR Refresher and ADR Awareness training nationwide. We run at least one ADR Initial public course at our Team Valley Training Centre each month. You can book any number of candidates on these courses subject to availability.
For groups of 6 or more you can take advantage of a group rate and request a date to suit your needs.
